Since January 2000, the full day school program has offered a specialized, educational curriculum for students, ages 6 – 15, with moderate to severe learning disabilities and who have average to above average intelligence. Under the direction of Dr. Casey Crnich, Executive Director, and a faculty of learning disability specialists, regular education teachers, social workers, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists, each student has access to:

A comprehensive learning plan that links specific diagnostic information, specialized instruction, modified curricula and appropriate related services (e.g., occupational therapy, counseling, speech therapy);

Intensive, one-to-one assistance using state-of-the-art remedial materials and methods to address specific learning difficulties;

Regular education teachers co-teaching with learning disabilities specialists;

Appropriate modification of each student’s regular education curricula.
Hyde Park Day School has received Wilson® Accredited Partner status by Wilson Language Training® (WLT). Wilson Language Training® and Wilson® Accredited Partners have received accreditation by the International Dyslexia Association. This designation recognizes that Wilson Reading System® certifications align with the IDA’s Knowledge and Practice Standards for the Teachers of Reading.
