Founded in 1961, Alcuin Montessori is one of the oldest Montessori schools in the country.  Located in the vibrant Oak Park community, we empower our children’s inherent love of learning, inspiring and challenging each child to engage the world as an independent thinker, creative problem solver, and compassionate citizen. We guide the children in developing self-knowledge, academic discovery, and an internal desire for life-long learning. 

The only dually accredited school in the western suburbs (American Montessori Society and the Independent Schools Association of the Central States), we offer programs for children ages 6 weeks through 8th grade, including all-year programs.  Apart from our excellent Montessori curriculum, enrichment at Alcuin includes art, theater, Spanish, and swim, creating a well-rounded academic experience.
