Incorporating Technology and Literacy into Social Studies Content

This Pop-Up Innovation event, hosted by Lake Forest Country Day School (LFCDS) in partnership with IDEA Northern Suburbs will show educators how to incorporate Google Jamboard, ChatGPT, and podcasting into their literacy and social studies curriculum.

LFCDS teacher Luke Christianson will show how he has incorporated these tools into his fifth grade social studies classroom. His presentation will showcase the ways these technologies could be implemented in classrooms from upper elementary school through high school. This PD will be hands-on and interactive with a focus on script writing, group annotations, and summative and formative assessment.
